International Visitors Center of Chicago
The International Visitors Center of Chicago (IVCC) is a 501©3 Non-profit organization which acts as the liaison between Chicagoans and prominent international visitors from around the world. As a member of the National Council for International Visitors, the IVCC has served as Chicago's official host for U.S. Department of State-sponsored programs since 1952. The mission of the International Visitors Center of Chicago is to provide opportunities for face-to-face professional and social interaction between visitors from other countries and their Chicago-area counterparts. The professional and social meetings enable a better understanding of each other's way of life and promote Chicago as an important international center for culture, commerce and tourism. The work of the IVCC is carried out in five program areas: the International Visitor Program, the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Enrichment Program, the Open World Program, Trade Delegations and Community Connections.

IVCC has the unique experience of drawing upon the expertise and hospitality of its extensive membership and more than 3,000 professional resources, for providing meaningful and valuable information exchange with our international delegations. IVCC has an experienced and committed staff, an extensive network of local community support, and homestay families who have created many on-going relationships, and continue to provide professional mentoring to many former participants. With partners as such institutions as the Chicago-Cook Business Center, IVCC has hosted trade delegations from around the world, making matches with Chicago-area businesses. These matches often lead to strategic alliances or joint venture partnerships.
