The IIT University Technology Park
The University Technology Park (UTP) at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) represents the dynamic convergence of bioscience, engineering and high-tech companies on the campus of one of the nation's leading scientific and technological universities, IIT:

• A private, Ph.D.-granting university with 6,400 students and 1,200 faculty with strengths in science, engineering and the professions.

• A rapidly expanding research program in biomedical engineering, co-located in UTP, featuring neural engineering, cell and tissue engineering and medical imaging.

• Affiliated with IIT Research Institute Life Sciences Group (IITRI), also in UTP, a leading provider of non-clinical services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries in support of Investigational New Drug (IND) submissions. IITRI also has a major NIH funded program in cancer diagnosis and prevention.

• Sponsor of the National Center for Food Safety and Technology, the nation's leading partnership among IIT, the FDA and the food industry to identify novel solutions to protect the nation's food supply.

University Technology Park at IIT includes state-of-the-art facilities designed to help propel a broad spectrum of technological and scientific innovations capable of changing the world. Ideally situated in the heart of Chicago, it will connect clients with the outstanding research faculties and resources at IIT and across the city.

Residing on a 15-acre expanse adjacent to the campus of IIT, University Technology Park is just 10 minutes south of downtown Chicago and six blocks west of Lake Michigan. When complete, it will boast:

• 9 lab and office buildings

• 1,500,000 square feet of space
