Stuart B. Oakes

Mr. Oakes was born in California. He is a holder of a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA. He spent time in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Major with a computer and electronics specialty. Coming to Chicago in 1984 with 10 years experience with the General Electric Co., he began a career with International Components Corporation where he achieved the positions of Executive Vice President, Board Member and equity holder. ICC is an international manufacturer of Battery Chargers and Wireless Communication Accessories. Oakes has traveled on business extensively across 4 continents and India. He’s been involved with setting up and operating 13 companies in various parts of the world. He is married with two boys and a member of Mayor Daley’s China Sister Cities Committee.
